
MEET THE DISTRICT CHAIR
13TH CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY ORGANIZATION
As a teenager, Jonathan C. Kinloch began his path in the 13th Congressional District during the term of the late legendary Congressman George W. Crockett, Jr.. He not only volunteered but was also groomed for his future by two of Detroit's political giants - the late Detroit City Council President Erma L. Henderson and the late Michigan AFSCME Council 25 International Vice President/Metro AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Gloria C. Cobbin. Mrs. Cobbin was a former President of the Detroit Board of Education and past Chair of the 13th Congressional District.
Since 2015, Jonathan C. Kinloch has been District Chair of the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party. As Chair, he has focused on identifying and grooming the next generation of elected and appointed leaders in government.
Jonathan has served on the Wayne County Planning and Development Commission, Detroit Board of Zoning Appeals, Detroit Library Commission and the Detroit Board of Education.
Currently, Jonathan is 3rd Vice Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party, serves on the Wayne County Economic Development Corporation, Detroit Board of Water Commissioners, Vice Chairman of the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority and Chairman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers.
Jonathan is the Southeast Michigan Community Liaison in the Executive Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer. He is a member of Triumph Church in Detroit, Michigan. Also, he is a member of the MWPHGL of Michigan, F.&A.M. Abiff 21 Fraternity and Michigan Wolverine Consistory #6 PHA.
